My Story

From Mumbai to Canada why I practise the way I do

As a teenager in India, I spent years moving through mainstream medicine searching for answers to unexplained weight gain and hormonal imbalances that no one could resolve. Then I found Ayurveda and the remarkable doctor who became my mentor. Under her care I experienced firsthand what this ancient clinical science could do. I followed her footsteps to R.A. Podar Medical College in Mumbai for my BAMS, then secured one of just 15 postgraduate seats nationally to complete my MD Ayurveda at IPGT&RA, Jamnagar the foremost Ayurvedic university in India.

I moved to Canada in 2010 and completed my RHN with Honours at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2014, graduating top of my class. Since then I have built a clinical practice spanning Sarnia and clients virtually across Canada, the US, UK, Europe, and Australia alongside a decade of advocacy, education, and leadership in Ayurveda across North America. When I’m not supporting my clients, you’ll find me tending to my garden herbs, vegetables, and medicinal plants, 365 days a year.

“I didn’t choose Ayurveda from a textbook. It chose me when nothing else could explain what was happening in my own body.”
